Singalong Concert

We were ready for a concert! This time it was Phil Wickham's Singalong tour with Cody Carnes and Kristian Standfill.

The last time I went to a concert that did not have seats assigned with ticket purchase was when I was in high school. Back then I did stand in line for hours, but now I'm basically old and it was chilly!  We arrived  a few minutes before the doors opened and walked a very long way to the end of the line.

We did get to enjoy a pretty sunset while we waited in line and I was very pleasantly surprised how fast the line moved. 

We were at the top and back of the church. We didn't mind.

Empty stage. 3 acoustic guitars and keyboard. All of the songs were ones that have become well known and that can easily be sung by the audience. It was so refreshing to just worship in a large church setting.

Cody Carnes--he has written so many songs that we sing

Phil Wickham--we seen him in concerts in huge arenas with tens of thousands of people with all the lights and fancy stuff that goes with big entertainment. AND he tours in churches with just a guitar, a couple friends and a few thousand in a church building. That is humility with a heart for worship and the church.
