Thanksgiving Weekend

I guess I was a bit pessimistic by not committing to traveling Thanksgiving weekend until Jeremy and Aliza got home from India. I just wanted to be sure that they were healthy and up for another bit of time away from home. They were! And so we spent the weekend with Jeremy's family.

Anna had another birthday cake! Her Grandma gave her a ring candle. She had never heard of that and thought it was pretty neat. She started burning it right and away and dug it out as soon as the wax was soft enough to get a knife to it.

Ronan was lots of fun--crawling and getting around. He took his first steps just a couple days after we were there. Isaiah had fun getting Ronan to chase him around the coffee table.

Saturday afternoon we spent a little time outside getting Grandma's garden beds ready for dirt.
With all of us working together it didn't take long at all to get the sticks in and then the leaves.

I don't know how our WV weekends so often fall on Pokemon Community Days. I stayed back to help with Thanksgiving meal preparations while the others got their special drinks and Pokemon with Joel, Amanda and Ronan.
This year's Thanksgiving week was so nice. Maybe it was extra sweet to be home in the evenings without extra activities since Jeremy and Aliza had just gotten home. Now I feel ready for these next few weeks leading up to Christmas.
